I used Smore website to create my flyer for preschool First Day of School. Making a flyer is easy to make and use for upcoming events so parents know what is going on in the classroom. I decided to do make a flyer showing the month of August on what the children will be learning each week and also events throughout the month. I also added a little intro about me and my contact information. I added the calendar of activities and what the children will be learning such as ABC/s, numbers, shapes, etc. I will printing out the flyer for parents to have but a lot of times it gets lost. So parents can log in and see it from there phones.
My first time using smore it was super easy. It wasn't hard at all. All the tools are there to change font or size and to add pictures, links, video, and audio if you want. I would definitely use it in a classroom for parents so that they are aware whats going on. Parents and children can both talk at home on what they learned at school by using the flyer.

The second tech tool I used was Pic Collage. In the classroom I would let parents and the child would work on the collage at home. Parents would have to download app or if they do not have a phone use paper with print out pictures. The activity would be on to summarize a college on what they learned during the week. So they would have to remember what they learned and show it to the class there college. Parents and child can search for images online or go for a walk and to take pictures of what they remember what they learned. Parent and child can also talk about what does the stop sign mean or what transportion are in the air? Child would recognize the word that goes to each picture. For example: during the week we will be learning how to write and what begins with letters A and B. We will be learning about safety procedures also traffic sings and Land, Water, and Air transportation. I use other photo apps on my iphone, but when I downloaded this one it right away showed grins, templates, stickers, and backgrounds and another thing called freestyle where you can paste your photos anywhere at random letting you choose text, stickers, and backgrounds. Parents will have to help child on using app and writing a small word for each photo. It wasn't that difficult using the app. You can use Pic College for any activity in the classroom the children may even know how to use it right away using an ipad in the classroom. https://pic-collage.com/_oU7rKupR

The third one I used is wordle. I the teacher would do votes in the classroom with the children on there fave color or animal etc. which ever lesson plan you are doing for the week you can do votes. Let the children type in using ipad or the teacher can type it in and show the students on what was the number 1 fave color from the 15 students. wordle is a online word that generates what you write into a nice colorful cloud where you can change the shape, fonts, and use different colors. I never heard about this before and I thought it was really neat to use in a classroom with students to use for artwork and to put up in the classroom. Students can use it for any holiday such as xmas, mothers day, fathers day etc. to type words that represent there parents to give as gifts.
